Area students received free health checks Thursday at a Back to School Bash hosted by Star Community Health, held at the Hometown Family Medicine parking lot in Tamaqua. Students could even pick up free school supplies. Star Community Health brought clinics on wheels to offer dental, vision and health screenings. Student athletes could also request sports physicals. In addition, community organizations shared information on resources and services that can help students and their families.
