A Summit Hill man, who has admitted to selling marijuana for the past decade, has been charged.

According to the affidavit of probable cause filed by Detective Mario Orlando of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in the case against Shane Houser:

Last week, Orlando, along with agents of the Monroe County Drug Task Force, met and conducted an undercover operation at Canna World Fair 2026 located at the West End Fairgrounds in Chestnuthill Township.

At around 1:30 p.m., Orlando made two controlled purchases from Houser, 28, using prerecorded U.S. currency for a pound or marijuana and an ounce of marijuana.

While making these purchases, Houser agreed to make a future sale to Orlando and provided his cellphone number, which he confirmed by texting his first name to Orlando’s county-issued cellphone.

After the purchases were made, agents from the Monroe County Drug Task Force met to apprehend Houser.

At this time, Pocono Mountain Regional Police observed Houser and three other males, later identified as Rafael Falcon, Zackary Dillard and Lamar Easley, conduct sales of marijuana, weigh and package marijuana for sale and accept U.S. currency in exchange for marijuana and related products.

Monroe County Drug Task Force agents approached Houser, Falcon, Dillard and Easley, taking them into custody without incident.

Bulk amounts of marijuana, marijuana-related products and related paraphernalia were confiscated and secured as evidence.

U.S. currency, including the money Orlando used to make the purchase from Houser, were found in his possession during a search.

The denomination of the other currency recovered from Houser was consistent with an individual engaging in drug sales.

Houser, Falcon, Dillard and Easley were subtransported to Orlando’s headquarters.

Post Miranda warnings, Houser admitted to selling marijuana for the last 10 years, that the profits of these sales were his only source of income and that the cellphone with the assigned number he provided Orlando was what he used to facilitate drug sales.

Houser faces charges on two counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, and one count each of criminal use of a communication facility, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of paraphernalia.

He is currently free in lieu of $45,000 unsecured bail, and scheduled to have a preliminary hearing on Aug. 6 before District Judge Colleen Mancuso of Brodheadsville.
