Wednesday is Schuylkill County Day at the Schuylkill County Fair.

Gates to the fairgrounds in Summit Station will open at 4 p.m. Midway rides also open at 4 p.m.

• At 4:30 p.m., a tractor parade takes off from the main gate. The celebrity tractor pull is at 5:30 p.m. at the Ag Museum track.

• At 6 p.m., “Invasive Plants: Mosquitoes’ Favorite,” will be held from the indoor midway. Also at 6 p.m., the Livestock Skill-A-Thon will be held at the Ag Arena.

• From 6-7:30 p.m., meet 4-H Club members and their horses at the horse barn. At 7 p.m., Pull Off Productions and Farm Stock Pulls will be held at the track at an extra cost.

• Eric Carwalla’s Uptown Band will perform at 7 and 9 p.m. on the stage, and a boilo contest will be held at 7:30 p.m. at the PA Preferred building.

The fair’s theme is “Celebrating 250 Years of Freedom, Family and PA Farms.” It continues through Saturday. There will be food, vendors, entertainment, exhibits and more.
