Panther Valley track & field coach resigns

Trish O’Gurek’s resignation was approved last night by the Panther Valley School Board.

She also resigned as an assistant girls basketball coach.

The board also accepted the resignations of Milena Perez and Thersa Perez as assistant cheerleading coaches.

She was one of 12 individuals named by the board as a Sports Event Managers for the 2026-2027 school year as Sports Event Managers. Sports Events Managers receive $40 per event, with two exceptions. Superintendent Dave McAndrew and High School Principal Patti Ebbert were listed as “volunteer” Sports Event Managers.

Besides O’Gurek, other Sports Events Managers are John Cooper, Rich Evanko, Michael Crampsie, Mark Lavine, Paul McArdle, William Lynn, Danny Blazosky, Melissa Gilbert and Natalie White.

There were 18 fall workers for sporting events approved and will be paid $30 per event.

They are:

Rich Gilbert, clock; Melanie Gilbert, collector; Melissa Gilbert, seller and clock; Richard Evanko, tickets, clock and announcer; Michael Crampsie, tickets clock and announcer; Robert Thomas, collector and seller; Ashley Schirer, scorebook and seller; Theresa Kokinda, seller, and Theresa Yurick, seller.

Fill-ins are Natalie Whites, Tara Yuricheck, Danny Blazosky, Fran Collevechio, John Cooper, Nancy Gardiner, Bruce Millheim and Jennifer Maynard.

Hired to be Panther Valley security at a rate of $30 per event are Bruce Millheim, Rich Gilbert, Melissa Gilbert, Danny Blazosky, Natalie White, Lauren Wall, Ben Turano and Casey Hedash.
