The swimming area at Locust Lake State Park in Barnesville is closed until further notice due to poor water sample results.

Park officials noted that they are in the process of resampling and the swimming area will reopen once the water quality is deemed acceptable.

The park remains open to the public, and campground reservations are not impacted.

All other recreational activities permitted in the park are still available.
