The Schuylkill County Conservancy will host a free tour of a sawmill operation on July 25.

The Seigel Sawmill, 3901 Sweet Arrow Lake Road, Pine Grove, has been in continuous operation for three generations, supplying quality wood products to the local community.

Tour attendees will get a firsthand look at the process of turning raw logs into finished lumber.

The mill also offers additional services, including a dry kiln and retail sales of many common Pennsylvania wood species.

The tour runs from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. People should wear sturdy shoes for walking in a lumber yard.
