Juan A. Santana Arias, 24, of West Hazleton, and Ambar E. Castillo, 32, of Coaldale, were injured after a one-vehicle crash on Interstate 81, police said.

The crash occurred at 5:57 p.m. April 4 in Kline Township, according to state police at the Frackville barracks.

Police said the two were transported by personnel from the McAdoo Fire Company Ambulance Association to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Hazleton.

Santana Arias was driving a 2011 Honda Passport, with Castillo as his passenger, when he lost control of it while traveling northbound, police said.

The vehicle went across the roadway and struck a ditch before overturning onto its roof. It was towed from the scene.
