State police at Fern Ridge
State police at the Fern Ridge barracks reported the following incidents:
• A 62-year-old man from Effort was cited for harassment, simple assault and disorderly conduct after police were called to a domestic violence incident at 1:06 p.m. on Feb. 18 on Mountain Laurel Drive, Chestnuthill Township.
Police said the victim is a 24-year-old woman from Effort.
• Tia Mims, 33, and Willie Mims, 39, both of Saylorsburg, were cited for harassment after police responded to a physical altercation at 5:47 p.m. on March 11 on Route 715, Chestnuthill Township.
Police said they were involved in a physical altercation with a 16-year-old girl and a 17-year-old boy, both from Effort.
• A 59-year-old man from Maspeth, New York, is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol following an incident at 10:36 p.m. on Jan. 28 on Chippewa Trail, Penn Forest Township.
Police said they responded to a report of a man on the ground beside a vehicle and took him into custody.
• A 23-year-old woman and a 20-year-old man, both from Effort, were cited for harassment by physical contact after police responded to a domestic incident.
The incident occurred at 11:35 a.m. on March 18 at a property on Country Acres Court, Chestnuthill Township.
• Police responded to a theft report at 6:52 a.m. on March 18 on Merwinsburg Road, Chestnuthill Township.
A 72-year-old woman from Effort told police someone stole her Android cellphone. It is valued at $100, police said.
• Police are investigating a sexual abuse/child photo/video report they received at noon on Feb. 25.
They said it is alleged that a 7-year-old girl and an 8-year-old boy, both from Camden, South Carolina, are the victims of inappropriate contact by a woman.
