State police at Fern Ridge

State police at the Fern Ridge barracks reported the following incidents:

• A 19-year-old man from Blakeslee is facing drug possession charges after police made a traffic stop at 4:36 p.m. March 20.

He was stopped in a 2011 Honda Accord for a traffic violation on Switzgabel Drive, Chestnuthill Township.

• Police were called to a retail theft (shoplifting) incident at 9:42 p.m. March 19 at Kinsley’s ShopRite store, 107 Kinsley Drive, Chestnuthill Township.

They said a person concealed Harry’s razors worth $9.99 and AM Crew shampoo valued at $16.99 and left the store without paying for the merchandise.

Police said the incident was handled by ShopRite, which declined to prosecute the person, who was not named by police.

• Police were called to a scattering rubbish report at 3:18 p.m. March 20 on Route 115 in Chestnuthill Township.

They said a 52-year-old man from Tobyhanna reported unknown people were using a dumpster and leaving trash at the site without authorization.

Police said no video surveillance of the site is available at this time.
