Heffley announces reelection bid for 122nd District
State Rep. Doyle Heffley, R-Carbon, announced he will seek reelection to represent the 122nd Legislative District, pledging to continue fighting government waste, fraud and abuse, and protecting taxpayers through fiscally responsible budgeting.
“Serving as state representative is one of the greatest honors of my life,” Heffley said. “As a Carbon County native, I’m proud to fight for the people who sent me to Harrisburg — standing up for taxpayers, demanding accountability and ensuring families keep more of their hard-earned money.”
As chairman of the House Human Services Committee, Heffley has led multiple hearings on Pennsylvania’s drug crisis, focusing on fentanyl and xylazine dangers while ensuring efficient, effective use of taxpayer dollars for recovery and related programs.
Throughout his tenure, Heffley has delivered commonsense solutions aligned with Carbon County values: refining the state pension system, increasing public education funding, prioritizing after-school programs, and advancing meaningful property tax relief — all while opposing tax increases on families. He has sponsored legislation to lower housing costs and reduce regulatory burdens, and collaborated with state and federal officials to secure grants for communities across Carbon County.
A Lehighton Area High School graduate, Heffley earned an associate degree in architectural drafting and design from Lincoln Technical Institute. He brings nearly 20 years of private-sector experience, including 10 years in trucking as a CDL truck driver and terminal manager.
He is an active member of Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church in Trachsville and several community and fraternal organizations.
Heffley resides in Palmerton with his wife, Kellie, and dog, Thor. He is the proud father of daughters Angela and Elizabeth (married to Joey Blose), and a proud grandfather to Logan Marie and Jett Joseph.
The 122nd District covers all of Carbon County.
