Two Slatington residents were taken to the hospital after fire broke out in their home.
The Slatington Fire Department was dispatched at 9:45 p.m. Monday to a dwelling fire with possible entrapment, at 139 5th Street Slatington.
When Slatington Police arrived on scene they reported heavy smoke showing and assisted the woman out of her home.
Three cats were also rescued and given oxygen.
At this time Slatington Fire Chief Justin Frable called for a second alarm. First alarm units were Walnutport, Lehigh Township, Emerald, Friedens, and Greenawalt’s RIT.
Second alarm units were Palmerton, Neffs, and Slatedale. Ambulance units were NOVA, Allentown, Northampton, and Cetronia.
