State police at Fern Ridge

State police at the Fern Ridge barracks reported the following incidents:

• A 46-year-old Saylorsburg man is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance after police made a traffic stop at 12:07 a.m. Feb. 17.

He was stopped in a 2011 GMC Sierra for Motor Vehicle Code violations in the 3000 block of Route 115, Chestnuthill Township.

• James Dean, 23, of Schnecksville, is facing drug possession charges after police made a traffic stop at 12:58 a.m. Feb. 2.

Police said he was a passenger in a 2010 Hyundai Elantra they stopped in the 200 block of Learn Road, Pocono Township, and was arrested without incident.

• Police responded to a harassment by physical contact report that involved a 16-year-old girl from Albrightsville but said the Carbon County District Attorney’s Office declined prosecution of her stepsister, who allegedly was the perpetrator.

Police said they were called at 11:17 a.m. Jan. 16 to a property on Lenape Trail, Penn Forest Township, where the victim reported her stepsister had made unwanted physical contact with her.

Police said a representative of the district attorney’s office ruled that no crime was substantiated.
