Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the shooting of a suspect on Route 940 Tuesday evening after a pursuit that began in Pocono Mountain Police territory and continued through Kidder Township, ending in the area of 88 Route 940 near White Haven.

The Pennsylvania State Police Troop N Major Case Team was activated at 8:15 p.m. to investigate this Municipal Police involved shooting, in conjunction with the Carbon County District Attorney’s Office.

Police said the suspect was taken to an area hospital. No police were injured.

Route 940 was closed in the area while police investigated the case.

Police said there is no threat to the surrounding communities.

This investigation is ongoing, and updated information will be released as to not jeopardize the integrity of the investigation, police said.
