Lourdes-Weatherly
Weatherly used a big fourth quarter to pull away from Lourdes and earn a 66-48 Schuylkill League victory.
Niko Saldukas scored 10 of his game-high 22 points in the final frame as the Wreckers, who pushed their winning streak to four games, outscored their opponent by a 23-9 margin to extend what had just been a four-point lead.
Weatherly’s Ian McKeegan added 19 points, while teammate Dominick Adler contributed 15.
Brighton Scicchitano paced the Red Raiders with 17 points.

Shazier Bethea scored a game-high 23 points to lead Minersville to a 58-43 Schuylkill League victory over host Minersville.
Bethea netted 19 of his points in the middle frames as the Miners outscored PV by a 36-22 margin to snap a tie game.
The winners also received 16 points from Jordan Bowers.
Jarell Thomas finished with a double-double for the Panthers, scoring 12 points and collecting 11 rebounds.

Sebastian Sacci paced Pleasant Valley with 23 points, while Jaxson Haines added 13.

Marian jumped out to a huge halftime lead and cruised to a 60-22 Schuylkill League victory over host Tri-Valley.
DeAnna Pugh scored all 17 of her points during the first two quarters as the Fillies, coached by Jeff Onushco, bolted to a 39-8 advantage.
Addy Marek added 12 of her 17 points in the opening half. Haley Minzola aided the winning cause with eight points.
For the Bulldogs, Ivy Sinkus tallied a team-high nine points.

A pin by Catasauqua’s Blake Reed in the final bout lifted the Rough Riders to a 37-29 Colonial League victory over host Northern Lehigh.
The Bulldogs rallied from an early 25-0 deficit with five consecutive wins, including falls from Mason Rothrock at 160, Jaxon Bower at 172 and Isaac Jackovits at 285, but Reed’s six-pointers sealed the victory for the visitors.

Tamaqua won all three contested bouts against North Schuylkill, but the visitors came out on top with a 30-24 victory.
The Blue Raiders’ Addison Trunk needed only 38 seconds to score a pin at 112 pounds, while Jalissa Correa took just a minute-and-a-half to secure six points at 130.
Tamaqua’s Rylin Arroyo added another fall at 118 pounds.

Pottsville registered a sweep against Marian.
The Tide posted an 88-41 win over the Colts, while the hosts earned a 75-43 victory over the Fillies.
Michael Strucko (50 free, 500 free) and Lydia Strucko (100 fly, 100 back) were the only multiple first-place winners for Marian, while Reece Steibler (200 free), Andrew Metters (100 back) and Kasey Evert (200 free) all came away with single firsts.

Blue Mountain-Tamaqua
Another week, another record for Savannah Wilson, as the Tamaqua swimmer swam her way to a new pool record in the 100 breaststroke in a meet against Blue Mountain.
The Eagles, however, recorded victories in both the girls and boys meets.
Wilson finished with two first-place finishes — the 200 IM and the 100 breaststroke — and swam legs on two winning relay teams (200 medley, 400 free).
The Raiders’ Shaylee Gormley (200 free, 100 fly), Janna Brown (50 free, 100 free) and Kate Behun (500 free, 100 back) also posted multiple individual victories as well as swimming a leg on two winning relay teams.
Palmerton’s Bella Stroup also participated in the meet as an independent swimmer and competed in the 50 free (31.35) and 200 free (2:28.94).
