SCFCA releases All-County football teams
The Schuylkill County Football Coaches Association announced its 2025 All-County football selections, with several area athletes earning recognition across the Small School and Big School divisions.
Schuylkill Haven swept the major Small School awards, as Camron Green was named Defensive Lineman of the Year, Niko Castillo earned Defensive Player of the Year honors, Chase Williams was selected Offensive Lineman of the Year, and Colton Reber was chosen Offensive Player of the Year.
Haven’s Mike Farr was named Coach of the Year. In the Big School division, Panther Valley’s Marco Tessitore captured Defensive Lineman of the Year, while Blue Mountain’s Reese Miller earned Defensive Player of the Year.
North Schuylkill’s Aiden Zilker and Luke Miller were named Offensive Lineman and Offensive Player of the Year, respectively, with North Schuylkill’s Wally Hall receiving Coach of the Year honors.
Marian placed several athletes on the Small School squads. Rory Dixon was selected to both the Second Team defense at defensive back and the Second Team offense at running back, while Dominick Rodino (defensive tackle) and Jah Bushati (linebacker) also received Second Team defensive honors.
The Colts added a number of honorable mentions, including Tyler Price, Jake Tom, Matt Spino, Jason Ashfield, and Damian Rodino on defense, with Price, quarterback Gregory Tirpak, Tom, Billy Ebert, and Bushati recognized on offense.
Panther Valley was well represented in the Big School division. Tessitore led the way with First Team defensive honors in addition to his lineman-of-the-year award. Ben Baneravage and Chase McArdle joined him as Second Team defensive backs, with Peter Kruslicky earning a Second Team nod at linebacker. Carlos Maldonado was named an honorable mention on the defensive side.
Offensively, Panther Valley landed four First Team selections: Brody Breiner at athlete, Marcus Rodriguez at fullback, and wide receivers Gavin Yuricheck and McArdle. Maldonado added a Second Team spot on the offensive line, while Tessitore was also named a Second Team tackle.
Tamaqua produced several Big School All-County picks as well. Brady McCabe earned First Team honors at defensive back, with Luke Frohnheiser joining him as a First Team linebacker.
On the defensive Second Team, the Raiders were represented by defensive back Shawn Chen and defensive end Teegen Phillips.
Offensively, Tamaqua’s Malachi Stewart and Terrence McDowell Jr. were chosen to the First Team backfield, while Frohnheiser added a First Team selection at center and McCabe secured a First Team nod at tight end. James Nalesnik rounded out Tamaqua’s honorees with a Second Team selection at offensive tackle.
