November 10, 2000 — The Pleasant Valley backfield trio of Matt Borger, Marcus Stallings and Anthony Somerville combine for 210 rushing yards and three touchdowns to help the Bears gain a 38-15 victory over Freedom in the semifinal round of the Eastern Conference playoffs. Stallings runs for 80 yards on just five carries, including a 27-yard TD. Borger adds 72 yards and two scores (eight and 13 yards) on 18 attempts, while Somerville chips in with nine carries and 58 yards. PV, coached by Tony Caracio, also receives a 40-yard score from Mike Koehler and a 43-yard trek to the end zone by quarterback Brent Standorf.
