An Animal Tracking Walk will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Frog Hollow Nature Area, 170 Stone Mountain Road, near Schuylkill Haven.
Join Brian Mohn for an educational walk through the scenic trails and creek beds of Frog Hollow to search for signs of local wildlife. Using clues like plants, soil, footprints, scat and geography, Mohn will help uncover the hidden stories of the animals that call this area home.
Mohn is a member of the Pennsylvania Trappers Association and the Delaware Valley Fern and Wild Plant Society. He will also highlight native plants that wildlife either utilize or avoid — and share his insights as a licensed, responsible trapper.
The free event is suitable for teens and adults. It will be held rain or shine, and pets should be left at home.
For more information, call Jane Kruse at 570-628-4802. The event is presented by the Schuylkill County Conservancy.
