Lansford Alive puts final touches on annual fall festival

Lansford’s downtown will be bustling with people as more than 40 businesses, vendors and entertainers fill the street Saturday for Lansford Alive’s annual Fall Fest.

The daylong event held in conjunction with Grace Community Church’s Block Party and the Jukebox Cruisers Car Club’s car cruise gets underway at 9:30 a.m. and runs through 6 p.m.

Pastor Jeremy Benack welcomes all to attend, saying, “There will be a lot a fun things to with the kids — something for the whole family.”

Numerous food and craft vendors will be on hand, and there will be activities for children, including pumpkin painting and a bounce house.

The lineup of live entertainment includes Grace Community Church Band at 9:30 a.m.; Autumn Falls Entertainment, 10:30 a.m.; Joe Krushinsky Recalling Elvis at noon; Swingmasters Polka Band, 1 p.m.; Angela Nardini, 3 p.m. and The Local Boys, 4 p.m.

“A lot of work goes into making this event a success in the downtown, especially in the last few weeks leading up to the festival,” said Donna Valent, Lansford Alive member and event organizer.

“We are fortunate to have over 40 businesses and organizations taking part,” she said.

Vendors can reserve a space up until Thursday, Valent said.

A 12-by-12-foot space is available for $20 and nonprofits can reserve a space for free. Contact Valent at 570-645-4833.
