TURNPIKE INCIDENTS
State police at the Pocono barracks reported the following incidents that occurred on the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike:
• Semaj Suber, 30, of Philadelphia, was charged with theft of services after police made a traffic stop at 3:11 p.m. Aug. 31 at mile marker 68.6 in Washington Township.
Police said she was driving a 2015 Nissan Altima southbound when she was stopped for traveling 93 mph in a 70 mph zone.
They said it was determined the temporary registration displayed on the vehicle was fraudulent.
Police said the registration, which was from the Commonwealth of Virginia, was stolen.
The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission is listed as the victim of the incident.
• Breanna Ramlochan, 29, of Willow Grove, was charged with theft of services after police made a traffic stop at 12:59 p.m. Aug. 29 at mile marker 68.5 in Washington Township.
Police said she was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Express van when she was stopped, after which police discovered the registration plate on the vehicle was fraudulent.
They said it was also determined the vehicle’s registration was suspended for nonpayment of turnpike tolls.
• Darryl Herrington, 27, of Philadelphia, was charged with theft of services after police made a traffic stop at 11:44 a.m. Aug. 22.
He was stopped in a 2012 Nissan Maxima for a registration violation at mile marker 94.6 in Kidder Township, after which police determined the temporary registration on the vehicle was fraudulent.
Police said the victim of the incident is PennDOT.
• Police were called to a theft incident on July 11 at mile marker 67.8 in Washington Township.
They said someone cut about 100 feet of copper wire valued at $300 and damaged a chain-link fence at the site before fleeing the scene in an unknown direction. The damage to the fence is estimated at $100.
Police said the victim is the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission.
