The best-ever attendance — more than 2,500 spectators — made the 8th Annual Lehighton Auto Show held at the Lehighton Fairgrounds a huge success.
Greg Bayer, secretary of the Lehighton Auto Show, a nonprofit organization, said 650 vehicles were on display, including cars from the Roaring 20s, Depression-era vehicles, old-time street rods, antique tractors and vehicles with rumble seats and wheels with spokes.
Every decade from the 1920s was featured in the show. Among the 20s vehicles was a 1921 Milburn Light Electric, which is the pride of the JEM Car Museum along Route 443 in West Penn Township.
George Hahn, president of the car show, said proceeds from the event are given to charities.
