Schuylkill United Way announces dining week
As the Schuylkill United Way kicks off its 2026 annual campaign and its 90th year of service in Schuylkill County, it announced its newest promotion.
The 10-day “United We Dine Week” is underway, and the idea is for folks to visit their favorite — or new — restaurant knowing it will help support the annual campaign.
Each of the participating establishments has designated a specific time and a specific offer, and will donate a portion of the proceeds from that offer to the Schuylkill United Way.
“We are hoping people will use this as a reason to go out and try new things, and because of that to become more aware of Schuylkill United Way and the important work that our 15 partner agencies do in Schuylkill County,” said Kelly Malone, executive director of the Schuylkill United Way.
Participating establishments and their specials include:
• The Beacon Diner, Tamaqua — Friday, 10% of sales.

“We recognize that restaurants get asked for sponsorships and donations all the time,” said Mike Joyce, director of community engagement for the United Way. “We are very grateful that these organizations were willing, and in many cases very excited, to try this pilot program with us. Obviously, we hope people support them during ‘United We Dine Week.’ ”
