Tamaqua’s Barron to attend Mercyhurst

Tamaqua senior Nicholas Barron recently signed a letter of intent to attend Mercyhurst University in Erie. Barron will be a member of the school’s track and field team and will participate in the high jump, long jump and triple jump in what will be Mercyhurst’s first track team. At a ceremony at Tamqua’s high school were his parents, Robert and Tonia, high school principal Tom McCabe, head track coach Jim McCabe, volunteer high jump coach Rich Stianche and athletic director Michael Hromyak.
