Jim Thorpe Area School District’s Board of Directors approved several athletic actions a recent meeting. The board accepted the resignation of Dave Figura as head golf coach.

Rachel Oliver was approved as the Head Girls Volleyball Coach with a salary of $5,145; Christian Bartulovich was approved as the Head Girls Soccer Coach, also with a salary of $5,145; and Thomas Ferguson was approved as the Head Girls Basketball Coach with a salary of $7,715.

The board also approved the creation of two new athletic programs: a girls wrestling program set to begin in the 2025-26 school year, with an estimated cost of $10,000 plus transportation and tournament expenses, and a middle school girls volleyball team with an estimated cost of $4,000 plus additional fees.
