The Sew What Quilt Guild met on Friday in the Palmerton Area Library.
At the September meeting members made Christmas ornaments to benefit Family Promise.
Bus trip
The date for the group’s bus trip will be Oct. 19. Contact Terri at sheck@ptd.net if you are going.
There will be no cost to guild members for bus transportation. The bus only holds a limited number of passengers.
The guild members get first choice and then it will open up to anyone outside of the guild for a fee. The bus is leaving at 6:45 a.m. from the parking lot at Third Street and Franklin Avenue. You will need to pack a lunch for yourself.
The group will be going to the following three quilt shops: Hoover’s Bernina Sew, Verna’s Fabrics, and 118 Fabrics and More.
Bingo
The next Quilt Lovers Bingo will be held on Oct. 13. This year, the venue will be the Aquashicola Fire Company where they can accommodate 200 people.
Every prize will be a quilt, from lap size to queen.
Donations of quilts are now being accepted. If someone only wants to make the top, the guild will make sure that it is quilted.
The proceeds will benefit the Palmerton Library and the Sew What Quilt Guild.
