No true snowfall has fallen yet, but it isn’t too early for Palmerton residents to brush up on the borough’s snow removal regulations.
Councilwoman Holly Hausman Sell asked at last month’s borough council meeting if the borough will be using its phone call service.
Borough Manager Autumn Canfield told Sell that the borough will utilize its Facebook page to post blurbs, however, it won’t necessarily post on Facebook each time there is a storm.
Residents were then reminded to be aware of the regulations, which are available on the website, and to check their streets for signs posted.
It was then asked about how the removal of snow ties in with the borough’s quality of life ordinance.
Canfield said that in addition to parking tickets that residents can get for parking in places they shouldn’t, they can also receive quality of life tickets for not removing snow from sidewalks.
