Olivia M. Winheld, a junior at Weatherly Area High School, presented a gift of $1,250 to Shannon Shughart, music and choral director

at Weatherly Area School District. The money was raised during the presentation of "A Charlie Brown Christmas," which was performedfor the public on Dec. 4 as Winheld's senior project. The donation includes money raised through a bake sale on the night of the show, as well as monetary donations received as admission. The money was donated to the music department and will be earmarked to purchasemusical instruments. It is hoped that these instruments will be made available to students who wish to learn to play a musical instrument, but who may not be able to afford to rent or purchase one. With Shughart and Winheld are the cast and crew of "A Charlie BrownChristmas." The show was a huge success. The community support was overwhelming and greatly appreciated. A special thank you to everyone who donated so generously of their time, talents, baked goods and monetary offerings.
