Multiple fire companies were called to a fully involved garage fire shortly before 2 p.m. today at North and West Third streets in Jim Thorpe.

Fire crews from Jim Thorpe, Lehighton and Nesquehoning as well as Lehighton Ambulance responded quickly to the scene.

The fire destroyed the garage and melted siding on a nearby house, but was quickly knocked down.
