The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory now in effect from 1 p.m. this afternoon to 4 a.m. Tuesday.

Forecasters expect 2 to 4 inches of snow and sleet, then around a tenth of an inch of ice from freezing rain.

Snow will begin later this morning and continue into this evening. Snow will begin mixing with sleet and freezing rain this evening. Precipitation will change to rain early Tuesday morning.

Moderate to heavy rainfall Tuesday could result in localized flooding.
