Voting machines are now on display in both Lehighton theatres and in the municipal building. A voting machine inspector will demonstrate proper use of the machines from 7 to 10 p.m. in the theatres and from 1 to 4 p.m. in the municipal building daily until Aug. 30. Lehighton is the first borough in Carbon County to use voting machines. They are calculated to give prompt and accurate figures on the election results and will go far to avoid costly litigation in the courts over inaccurate returns.
