Paul Kocher, a Franklin Township supervisor, has been appointed to a committee of the Pa. State Association of Township Supervisors.
He will serve on the "townships with populations greater than 2,000 but less than 5,000" committee.This committee identifies common problems and needs unique to these medium-sized townships, proposes solutions through state and federal legislation and administrative initiatives, and facilitates the exchange of information through discussion, training, and technical assistance.The Pa. State Association of Township Supervisors represents Pennsylvania's 1,455 townships of the second class and is committed to preserving and strengthening township government and securing greater visibility and involvement for townships in the state and federal political arenas.Townships of the second class represent more residents 5.4 million Pennsylvanians than any other type of political subdivision in the commonwealth.
