May 6, 1960 - Burt Gbur wins four individual events to help Coaldale post a 63-40 track & field victory over Summit Hill. Gbur captures the 440 on the track, and takes first in the high jump, discus and shot put. Arthur Brobst (880), Dick Brobst (javelin) and Ted Matrician (mile) all win one event for the Tigers, coached by Tom Raymer, and team with Jim McCartney to take the mile relay. Lansford receives three firsts from Mike Haravitch (100, 220, broad jump), while Steve Lewis claims the pole vault.
