A Lansford man entered guilty pleas in two pending cases, including indecent assault in one case.
Logan Moser, 21, was scheduled to go on trial this week in the Carbon County court but instead entered into a plea bargain with the district attorney’s office.
In one case he pleaded guilty to indecent assault, a misdemeanor 2, and criminal mischief - damage to property, a misdemeanor 3. In exchange for the plea, the district attorney dropped a felony 2 count of aggravated indecent assault.
He was arrested by Lansford police for an incident on Sept. 3, 2021, involving his then girlfriend.
In the second case he pleaded to count one of stalking, a misdemeanor 1, for an incident on Sept. 12, 2021, also filed by Lansford police.
Judge Steven R. Serfass accepted the pleas but deferred sentencing, noting the indecent assault count falls under the provisions of Megan’s Law. Moser will have to be evaluated by the state sexual offenders assessment board to determine if he is a sexual violent predator. Serfass also ordered the adult probation office to prepare a presentence investigation report.
Sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 26, 2023, at 11 a.m. before Serfass.
