A Karate school instructor has been charged with raping one of his students.

Pocono Mountain Regional police arrested Stephen Remeter, 27, of Tobyhanna, on Monday and charged him with rape of a child and related offenses.He was arraigned before a district judge and committed to the county prison in Snydersville in lieu of $150,000 bail.Police said the victim is a 12-year-old girl and was a student in Remeter's school in Pocono Summit. Police said Remeter worked with the girl over a five year period as her Karate instructor. Police said he had a sexual relationship with her during a four month span last year.Police added that they are looking into the possibility of other victims.
