Two Lake Harmony women were feted at a surprise dinner party in honor of their retirement as members of Kidder Township’s official governing body last night.

Friends of Betty Smith and Minnie Donahue converged at the Holiday Inn to salute the former secretary-treasurer of the township and her assistant.

Mrs. Smith completed 10 years as the secretary-treasurer to the township’s board of supervisors while Mrs. Donahue has been her assistant for about three years.

Supervisors Kenneth McGeehan, Charles Getz and Betty Davis were joined by state Rep. Keith McCall in honoring the women for the contributions to the township.
