Schuylkill County Judge Christina E. Hale accepted guilty pleas from two men charged by local police.

Noah J. Barrasso, 20, of Nazareth, Northampton County, admitted to loitering and prowling at night and was sentenced to up to 12 months in jail.

He was given credit for the two days served and immediately released on parole.

Hale also sentenced Barrasso to pay a $50 monthly supervision fee. He also was ordered to pay $250 to have a DNA sample taken; have mental health and drug and alcohol evaluations and follow through with any recommended treatment.

Coaldale Police Officer Matthew O. Jungbaer charged Barrasso after an incident on Sept. 16, 2021.

The charges of disorderly conduct and public drunkenness were dropped.

Caleb Joseph Harley, 22, of Reading, pleaded guilty to fleeing and eluding police, criminal mischief, driving with a revoked or suspended driver’s license, damage to an unattended vehicle or property, and speeding.

Hale fined Harley $500 on the charge of fleeing and eluding and ordered him to pay a total of $2,497 in restitution.

She also sentenced him to not less than time served to 23 months in jail followed by 12 months on probation. He was given credit for time served from May 14, 2021, to July 16, 2021, and was immediately released on parole.

Hale also sentenced Harley to pay a $50 monthly supervision fee. He also was ordered to pay $250 to have a DNA sample taken.

On the charge of criminal mischief, Hale sentenced Harley to 12 months on probation, to be served at the same time as another case.

On the driver’s license charge, Hale fined Harley $200. On the accidents involving damage, she fined him $300 plus total of $92 in fees.

Hale fined Harley $25 on the speeding charge, plus $77 in fees.

Charges of reckless driving, careless driving, damage to property, failing to obey a stop sign, and abandoning a vehicle were dropped.
