"We got a little bit crazy this year," Tony Tavella of Lehighton said.

Tavella and his son Anthony have been collecting and decorating their Center Road home with holiday inflatables when Anthony was only 7.Now almost 12 years later, the duo unpack 40 different decorations for the holiday season."We had to get another circuit installed this year, we had to have two added last year," Tony said."It gets bigger every years," Anthony added.The first and oldest inflatable was a simple reindeer."He didn't make it this year," Tony said.The newest addition of a Santa with a toy bag was purchased at a flea market for $10.The tradition started at Phifer's Ice Dam when Tony and his wife took their son to see the lights and decorations."We always thought it was so nice, so we thought we'd put up something for people to take a ride by," Tony said. "The neighbors love it, they are the ones who told me to contact the paper."The construction of the winter land, including a 12-foot Santa, begins right after Halloween and isn't finished until just before Christmas."Besides changing a fuse and adding extension cords, it's been nice without the snow."The father and son team have no plans on stopping and have already begun planning up next year's purchases."It's just something we enjoy doing together," Tony said.
