Tamaqua Police are investigating reported thefts at two local businesses. The thefts were discovered Friday morning when the All American Jeep dealership and Lehigh Tire opened for business. The crimes were caught on the dealership's video surveillance system.

Sometime after 8 p.m. on Thursday, the suspect(s) parked what appears to be a silver Toyota pickup on the lot at the Lehigh Tire Store at the northern end of the borough.Over the next 15-20 minutes, what appears to be a lone male removes several rims and tires from various new Dodge pickups on the All American lot. Several tires were also removed from a shed at Lehigh Tire.Both businesses are conducting inventories to determine just what was stolen.Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 570-668-5000 or 570-668-6100.
