Food pantry

The Palmerton Food Pantry will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sept. 18. The food pantry is located at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2915 Fireline Road, Palmerton.St. John's UCCSunday School resumes on Sept. 20 at St. John's United Church of Christ, 891 Columbia Ave., Palmerton. There is a Sunday school for all ages. Come and register and get started on a fun-packed adventure. Worship services are at 10 a.m.Blessing of the animalsA blessing of the animals will be held at St. John's United Church of Christ, 891 Columbia Ave., Palmerton. The service will be held in the grove on Sept. 26 at 11 a.m. Please bring your pets on leashes and/or in carriers. All pets are welcomePalmerton Camera ClubThe Palmerton Camera Club will meet at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 24 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 502 Lafayette Ave., Palmerton. The Meals on Wheels program in Palmerton needs more deliverers. Deliveries are made from the Palmerton Hospital about 11 a.m., Monday through Friday, holidays included. Each route requires less than one hour. If you can't commit for a certain day each week, perhaps you would be willing to substitute as needed.
