Carbon County Commissioners voted on a number of personnel items during their weekly meeting on Thursday.

Actions are as follows:• Hire Robert Bevich of Summit Hill as a summer supervisor for the Liquid Fuels program, effective June 1.• Hire Erin Bucci of Jim Thorpe as a lifeguard at Mauch Chunk Lake Park, effective May 29.• Hire Matthew M. Hudicka of Nesquehoning as a summer laborer for the Liquid Fuels program, effective June 15.• Hire Hunter R. Simmons of Jim Thorpe as a summer laborer for the Liquid Fuels program, effective June 8.• Approve the prison board appointments of Glenda H. Meldrum of Jim Thorpe, James S. Romankow of Lansford, and Christopher M. Toro of Hazleton as part-time corrections officers, Corrections, effective June 1.The board also approved the appointment of Dr. Justin Cunfer of Lehighton to a public director position on the Carbon County Conservation District. Cunfer fills an unexpired term to Dec. 31, 2015.
