State police at Schuylkill Haven report on crashes

State police at Schuylkill Haven reported on the following crashes investigated by troopers on Schuylkill County roadways:

• A one-vehicle crash was reported at 12:36 a.m. on Feb. 11 along Red Horse Road in North Manheim Township. Troopers said Sadie L. Fisher-Weyand, 21, of Minersville, was driving a 2019 Jeep Cherokee too fast for conditions when the vehicle hit a culvert. Fisher-Weyand was not injured. The vehicle was` towed. She was cited for the crash.

• A crash was reported at 8:57 a.m. on Feb. 4 along Route 183 in North Manheim Township. Jarrad R. Gruber, 40, of Schuylkill Haven, was driving a 2011 Dodge Ram 1500 truck southbound when the vehicle left the road and struck a snow pile along the berm. The truck continued through the snow pile and then struck a utility pole.

Gruber was not injured but the truck was towed. He was cited for the crash.

• A crash occurred at 3:57 p.m. on Feb. 10 along Stephens Road in West Brunswick Township. A 17-year-old male from Orwigsburg was driving a 2015 Subaru Legacy southbound at a high rate of speed when he reached for his cellphone on the floor. The vehicle drifted off the road and into a snow bank along the berm. It then veered back across both lanes of travel and struck a utility pole on the opposite side of the road. It then rolled over one time and came to rest.

The teen was not injured but the vehicle had to be towed. He was cited for the crash.

• A two-vehicle crash was reported at 4:06 p.m. on Feb. 14 along Route 61 in North Manheim Township. Troopers said Bradley E. Stephens, 49, of Minersville, was northbound in the left lane driving a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado truck when he attempted to change lanes. His vehicle struck a 2020 Subaru Impreza operated by Joseph R. Langlois III, 31, of Minersville, who was in the right lane.

No one was injured. Stephens was cited for the crash.

• A one-vehicle crash was reported at 7:52 p.m. on Feb. 14 along Manheim Road in North Manheim Township. Thomas J. Wensel, 24, of Pottsville, was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado truck northbound and negotiating a right curve when the vehicle struck a snow ban along the east berm. Wensel was not injured.

• A crash was reported on Feb. 10 at 5:49 p.m. along Route 61 in North Manheim Township. Troopers said Jeffrey R. Bierman, 60, of Pottsville, was southbound in the right lane. Bierman slowed down to negotiate a right turn at New Street while Edwin R. Andrews, 31, of Frackville, tried to pass. Bierman’s 2018 Mack truck struck Andrews’ 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Andrews sustained a suspected minor injury and was taken to the Lehigh Valley Hospital East, Pottsville, by a family member. Bierman was not injured. The Jeep had to be towed. Andrews was cited for the crash.
