Carbon County officials set employee salaries for the year during the recent annual salary board meeting.

Salaries for all positions except row office holders are included in related stories. Row office holder salaries for 2016 were set in 2013. All elected officials will receive a 1 percent increase this year.In addition to setting salaries, the board also made the following changes to a number of positions.District justices• Establish the position of one district justices office supervisor trainee at $14.50 per hour, effective Jan. 1.• Establish the position of one district justices secretary II at $15.41 per hour, effective Jan. 1.• Change the rate of one district justices office supervisor from $20.06 per hour to $14.50 per hour, effective Jan. 25.• Change the rate of one district justices secretary I from $13.44 per hour to $11.26 per hour, effective Jan. 1.• Abolish the position of one district justices office supervisor trainee at $14.50 per hour, effective Jan. 25.• Abolish the position of one district justices secretary I at $14.68 per hour, effective Jan. 1.Juvenile court• Establish the position of one clerical specialist at $10.21 per hour, effective Jan. 1.• Abolish the position of one department clerk I at $9.72 per hour, effective Jan. 1.• Abolish the position of one temporary juvenile probation officer at $15 per hour, effective Jan. 1.Domestic Relations• Establish the position of one domestic relations specialist I at $10.51 per hour, effective Jan. 1.• Abolish the position of one department clerk I at $9.72 per hour, effective Jan. 1.Coroner• Abolish the position of four deputy coroners at $75 per investigation, effective Jan. 1.District Attorney• Establish the position of one county detective at $16.96 per hour, effective Jan. 1.• Abolish the position of one part-time county detective at $16.47 per hour, effective Jan. 1.Sheriff• Change the rate of one chief real estate clerk from $11.81 per hour to $12.16 per hour, effective Jan. 12.• Change the rate of one special deputy sheriff from $11.37 per hour to $10.72 per hour, effective Jan. 4.Area Agency on Aging• Establish the position of one aging case aide II at $11.26 per hour, effective Jan. 1.Buildings and Grounds• Establish the position of one part-time cleaning person at $9.72 per hour, effective Jan. 1.
