A compromise proposal suggested by Judge Albert Heimbach for annexation of the Andrewsville area of Summit Hill to Lansford was rejected by the Lansford Borough Council.
The suggestion was made after a petition was presented to the jurist requesting that 720 acres in the Andrewsville area be annexed to Lansford.Judge Heimbach proposed that in order to give the petitioners the services they claim they can receive from Lansford, the Borough of Lansford annex only the land in Andrewsville on which homes are located, in addition to a few acres of land for future expansion.Council said it was not only interested in the homes in the area but in additional land for borough expansion.
