A look back: Jan. 4, 2003

The dawn of a new era in year-round national and regional musical entertainment is rising over the Blue Mountain at Penn’s Peak in Carbon County.

Home to one of the most spectacular intimate entertainment and casual dining venues on the East Coast, Penn’s Peak, located in Penn Forest Township, throws its doors open to the public at 4 p.m. Jan. 28 for traditional American cuisine dining and drinks.

It is the only cozy venue that can comfortably host 1,800 concertgoers with its spacious dance floor, lofty ceilings, twin bars and restaurant, and offers patrons a breathtaking panoramic view of northeastern Pennsylvania’s Appalachian Mountains.
