BOWMANSTOWN BOROUGH COUNCIL

Bowmanstown Borough Council took the following action on Tuesday:

• Agreed to have the oil drums removed from the borough garage, but to limit the cost to no more than $3,000.

• Announced that the borough received Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Highway Occupancy Permit comments for repair to three inlet tops and grate replacements on Route 2005 (White Street) near 630 White St., and agreed to have the borough street committee investigate whether it would be better to replace than repair.

• Appointed Kirk Summa & Company LLC Auditing Firm for the 2020 audit.

• Announced that a vacancy remains for a five-year term on the borough’s Water Authority Board.

• Announced that the borough is looking for computer support for the office computers.

• Agreed to hire a cleaning lady.

• Executed an agreement between the borough Water Authority, Branden Ahner, council and the borough crew.

• Agreed to advertise the monthly council meetings for 7 p.m. the first Tuesday of each month.

• Agreed to advertise the monthly planning commission monthly meetings at 7 p.m. the last Tuesday of each month.

• In light of the pandemic, agreed to give employees Christmas Eve off.

• Agreed to allow the borough office to close at 11 a.m. on New Year’s Eve.
