Weissport residents have reason for cheer; Their municipal taxes won’t go up in 2021.
There will be no tax increase next year, according to borough secretary Jen Ketchledge.
“The borough is very secure with how they spend the taxpayers’ money,” Ketchledge said. “We have no extra cost anticipated.”
If council were to adopt next year’s spending plan with no tax increase, it would leave the millage rate at 10.9 mills.
Council plans to grant final adoption of next year’s budget at a special meeting at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 30.
The last time the borough raised taxes was in 2012.
