Tamaqua Superintendent Ray Kinder informed parents Friday of two positive cases of COVID-19 in the district.
One is a student at Tamaqua High School and has not been in school in over 10 days.
The other is a Tamaqua Area Middle School student who has not been in school in over a week.
The cases are unrelated, Kinder said.
The students have been assigned to isolation and are recovering. All other personal information is strictly confidential.
It was determined that no additional people will need to quarantine.
