The presentation of its highest honor, the annual “Orchid Award,” was the highlight of the November meeting of the Tamaqua Business and Professional Women’s Club held Nov. 6 at the First United Methodist Church, Tamaqua.

This year’s recipient is Judy Kellner, who has been a member of the BPW since 1963. She served as club vice president in 1978-79 and president in 1979-80.

The award is presented annually to a member of the organization who has been active socially and who has contributed greatly to the organization’s success.
