The Carbon Chamber and Economic Development Corporation and Hearn Garage celebrated a grand opening celebration in September at one of the newest businesses in the area.

The new Hearn Garage is located at 603 White St. in Bowmanstown.Hearn Garage is a complete automotive repair facility. Working in conjunction with the original shop in Palmerton, the new location accommodates all customers' mechanical repair needs, with computer diagnostics supporting many domestic, Asian and European cars.The shop's large, spacious waiting room has a "Kidz Corner" that allows "kids to be kids" while having your car serviced.Hearn Garage in Bowmanstown is owned and operated by Chauncey and his wife Natalie Hearn. Chauncey worked at his parents Palmerton store before opening the new location.In addition to celebrating the new store, Lynn and Eunice Hearn were celebrating 30 years in business at the flagship store in Palmerton.Hearn's Shell Gas Station and Auto Repair Shop is located at 934 Delaware Ave. in Palmerton.They received a citation from state Rep. Doyle Heffley for commemorating the anniversary.
