There is no rain date in the case of inclement weather.• Approved placing three letters of praise into police personnel files that were received from various incidents.• Awarded a contract for reconstruction work along Rhume Street to Radocha’s in Coaldale at a cost of $4,960 for labor. The borough will purchase the materials needed for the road project.• Approved the advertisement of a position for a licensed operator at the borough sewer plant. Councilman George Sabol cast the sole “no” vote until he could do more research and councilman Don DeMarco was absent.• Council reminded residents that trash must be curbside by 5 a.m. on trash day; and an electronics recycling event will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Oct. 15 at the recycling bins on Locust Street.
