Breakfast

Members of the Jim Thorpe Area High School Classes of 1967 and 1969 will hold a class get-together for breakfast at the Boulevard Drive-in, Lehighton, at 10 a.m. Monday. All classmates and spouses are invited.Lenten servicesLenten services for area Lutheran churches have been set.The format is familiar, but the program is different. This year the presentations will be given by the pastors. Those attending will enjoy an evening meal at 6 p.m. Afterward, there will be conversations over the four chapters of the book of Philippians and will conclude with devotions. Those attending are to bring their Bible. A freewill offering will be taken also.The schedule is: Wednesday, St. John's Lutheran Church, South Avenue, Pastor Muhr, Chapter 1; Feb. 24, St. John's Lutheran, North Street, Pastor Tony Pagotto, Chapter 2; March 2, in the Heights with Pastor Muhr, Chapter 3; March. 9, East side, Pastor Pagotto, Chapter 4; March 16, open to the Ministerium before Holy Week.
